1up to Provide Integrated Game Rental/Trade Service

Ziff Davis announced today that the Ziff Davis Game Group (1up) and rental service provider Gottaplay Interactive are partnering up to allow integrated rental and trade information on 1up product pages as well as user blogs.

"Through this partnership, Gottaplay will be the exclusive integrated provider of video game rental and trading services for the 1UP Network. Gottaplay's innovative rental and trading platform will be integrated within the 1UP Network where members will be able to rent and trade leading videogames on a co-branded version of the Gottaplay platform. Rent/Trade trade buttons will be placed on all of 1UP.com's product pages as well as being tightly integrated within the My1UP user pages."

Taking a look at 1up's blog format, it's noticeable that 1up user blogs and/or news stories are already built well enough for this integration. For a good example of what that means, head over to an old review I wrote on Big Brain Academy.

It shouldn't be that hard fitting in some sort of "Rent it!" button. When the corporate fusion is complete, I'd imagine clicking that button will take you to Gottaplay's BBA page.
