Looks Like We Made It: CBS Ready to Broadcast WSVG

Well, this is exciting, albeit a little unexpected. CBS and the World Series of Video Games (WSVG) have partnered up to bring countless gamers what they've all been waiting for: a little respect. Sure, there are folks who specifically dreamed of watching these types of events on national television, but I bet most persons wanted this just so they could brag about video gaming being the next best thing in the entertainment media marketplace. And four, one hour-long episodes ain't too shabby, indeed.

World Series of Video Games president and commissioner, Matthew Ringel had this to say:

"The World Series of Video Games, Presented by Intel believes that the excitement of video game competition belongs on broadcast network television, accessible to all... In CBS, we have the perfect partner— the undisputed leader in sports television, with unparalleled reach through its network and the CBS Interactive Audience Network online. We look forward to a great year together in advancing the potential for video game competition on television."

Guitar Hero II
World of Warcraft

Fight Night: Round 3
